Art for Purchase is a public art project that reimagines storefronts as intimate stages for local and regional artists, cultivating a rich dialogue between creativity, commerce, and community. As you browse shop windows or linger along the sidewalk, you'll discover unexpected moments of inspiration—artworks that spark reflection and delight amid the hum of daily routines. By showcasing original art in the heart of Rye's commercial district, the initiative brings together artists, business owners, and the broader community in a shared celebration of creativity and local enterprise.

Join us for our Art for Design panel on October 8 from 6:30–7:15 p.m., exploring the relationship between art and interiors. The conversation will consider how artwork can shape a space, from selecting and collecting pieces to creating interiors with character and intention. Moderator: Ana Medina Mantini of Westchester Home. Panelists: Jill Gerstenblatt of JG Art Advisory, Shannon Murray Petruzello of Shannon Murray Interiors, and Liz Tuncer, founder of Behold Gallery. Purchasing artwork is a meaningful way to support both local artists and The Rye Arts Center. Artists retain 70% of the sale, while 30% of proceeds benefit The Rye Arts Center’s accessible arts programming, helping to sustain arts education and community engagement.
