Executive Director, The Rye Arts Center
Adam Levi has dedicated his career to fostering creativity and innovation in the arts. A lifelong artist at heart, Adam was born and raised in Yonkers, NY, where his passion for drawing, painting, and music first took root. His love for the creative process deepened during his time at Pace University in Pleasantville, setting him on a path to turn his passion into a profession.
That journey led him to The Rye Arts Center (RAC), where he knew he had found a home from the moment he stepped through its doors. What started as an administrative position soon became a lifelong commitment to expanding and enriching the arts community. Over the past 25 years, Adam has played a pivotal role in shaping RAC’s evolution, taking on diverse roles and spearheading transformative initiatives.
From building RAC’s first website to leading major development campaigns, Adam’s innovative spirit has touched nearly every facet of the organization. His vision led to creating the Digital Arts Lab, bringing filmmaking, animation, graphic design, and digital photography into the Center’s curriculum. As Art School Director, he expanded programming, attracting new mediums and top-tier instructors to enhance the student experience.
His leadership as Senior Director further strengthened RAC’s offerings, most notably with the introduction of the region’s first MakerSpace—ushering in a new era of hands-on, technology-driven creativity. In 2020, Adam stepped into the role of Executive Director, guiding the organization through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic with resilience and ingenuity. By swiftly pivoting to online and hybrid arts education, he ensured RAC remained a vital resource for the community during unprecedented times.
Under Adam’s leadership, The Rye Arts Center continues to grow, evolve, and inspire. With a steadfast commitment to accessibility, innovation, and artistic excellence, he remains dedicated to expanding RAC’s impact and nurturing the next generation of creatives.
