Thursday Night Out: Memorabilia Mixed Media
Ages 21 & over
Thursday, June 6, 6:15 - 9:00 pm
We all have many memories that we've collected & saved over the years. Would you like to take a couple of them and turn them into wall art that tells a narrative? You will learn to do just that in this workshop. Using collaging & mixed media techniques, you will give your memory a new life & tell its story on canvas! Mixed media collages are an easy, relaxing and fun way to create art & express yourself. There’s no right or wrong, you just keep adding shapes, textures, colors & materials until you're happy. No experience needed, only enthusiasm!
What to bring? Some suggestions are: movie, game, theater tickets, greeting cards, postcards, special notes, your children’s drawings/art, prize ribbons, photos, playbills, train tickets, etc. If you’d rather not experiment with a precious piece of memory, bring some fun photos, fabrics, inspirational quotes you’ve seen in books or magazines, music sheet, maps, newspaper cuttings.
