Triquetra for Healing at The Rye Arts Center
The latest installment of The Rye Arts Center’s Public Art Initiative, Triquetra for Healing by Julia Sinelnikova, gives us just one more reason to spend some time outside before it gets cold.
Triquetra for Healing was installed in front of The Rye Arts Center on Friday, October 5 and will remain on view through the fall of 2018. All are invited to join us for a free Artist’s Talk with Julia Sinelnikova on Thursday, October 25, 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Come relax and zen out with a little origami. Simple folding instructions, beautifully colored paper (and a little wine) is all it takes to create elegant birds, flowers, boxes and more. NO experience required. Just follow my lead, sip a little wine and enjoy yourself. This event is BYOB

Play With Your Food attracts sold-out crowds in Westport, Greenwich, and Fairfield. Play With Your Food is returning to The Rye Arts Center this fall! Arrive at noon, enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch and then settle in for a program of clever, provocative one-act plays by both classic and contemporary playwrights and read by terrific professional actors.

Maya Lin: A River Is a Drawing is a site-specific exhibit exploring the geology and topography of the Hudson River and the effects of climate change, by artist Maya Lin, a committed environmentalist who designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. at the tender age of 21. The artist created Wavefield at Storm King (2009) and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

Creating people on the page who are as annoying, seductive, entertaining, baffling, offensive, caring, attractive, dimensional, and diverse as our social network/family/workforce is integral to creating a relationship between the reader and the story.

This critique is for artists who would like an in-depth discussion of their artwork by an instructor with professional critiquing experience. The class will allow each artist to display their work and receive feedback, suggestions for development, and advice for the future direction of their work. Class is limited to a small group so that there is enough discussion time for each artist. Please bring at least 5 - 7 pieces that relate to your work. Limited to 6 participants.
