The Rye Arts Center Receives a $5,000 Grant from Newman’s Own Foundation

The Rye Arts Center has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman. The award to The Rye Arts Center was made by Newman’s Own Foundation as part of its commitment to the encouragement of philanthropy.

This grant to The Rye Arts Center will be used to sustain and grow many of the organization’s outreach programs, including: $25,000 in need-based scholarships; Dance for Parkinson’s Disease which creates a creative a rejuvenating opportunity as well as a supportive community for people who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease; Arts Education for Port Chester Head Start; After School Programs at partnering organizations in Rye, Port Chester, Mamaroneck, and Greenwich; Free Girls Who Code classes; a wide range of free programming throughout the year, and much more.
