MUSIC SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

A CAPELLA WORKSHOP
Teens August 16 - 20, 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Come join us and explore classical and contemporary a cappella music. This workshop will teach you the fundamental skills of a cappella singing focusing on the elements of blending in close harmony, basic staging and song presentation.

SONGS FROM THE SCREEN –
A Vocal Pop Workshop
Ages 6-8
August 2-6: 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Have fun exploring the basics of singing while working on songs from movies such as “Camp Rock” and “Bandslam”. Each student will have an opportunity to work individually with a microphone.

EXPLORING ROCK N’ ROLL
Ages 13 - 15
August 30 - Sept. 2, 4:30 - 6:30 pm (4 day workshop)
This program is designed for those interested in playing rock ‘n roll, beginning to write songs and improve musicianship. Class will focus on ear training, rhythmic translations, lyric dissection and song form analysis. Open to guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, drummers and vocalists. Students will have a chance to showcase their musicianship. Students should have at least 2 years playing experience with knowledge of written music.
